Terms of Service
Last updated: 21 August 2026
1. Agreeing to these terms
These terms are between you and Kavin Varnan, of 67/21, Ramamoorthy Road, Virudhunagar 626001 ("Dineadda", "we", "us").
By creating an account or using Dineadda, you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not use Dineadda.
2. Who can use Dineadda
You must be 18 or over to use Dineadda. By using it you confirm that you are.
You must also:
- Be able to enter a binding contract where you live
- Not have been removed from Dineadda before
- Not be barred from using the service under any applicable law
We may close any account we believe belongs to someone under 18.
3. Your account
You sign in with Apple. You are responsible for what happens under your account, and for keeping access to your Apple ID secure.
Give us accurate information. Your name, your age, and your photograph should be your own and should be true. Do not pretend to be somebody else.
One person, one account.
4. What Dineadda is — and is not
Dineadda lets people host and join tables at restaurants and eat with people they have not met before.
We are an introduction service and nothing more. In particular:
- We do not run background checks on anybody. Verifying a work or school email confirms that somebody can read email at that organisation. It confirms nothing else about them.
- We do not vouch for anyone. Profiles, reviews, and ratings are written by users, not by us. We do not verify that any of it is true.
- We are not present at any table. What happens at a dinner is between the people there.
- We are not an emergency service. If you are in danger, contact your local emergency number first. We read reports as fast as we can, but we cannot respond in an emergency.
5. Meeting people in person
Dineadda ends in you sitting down with strangers. That carries real risk, and you take it on yourself.
We ask you to:
- Stay at the restaurant the table is at
- Tell somebody where you are going and when you expect to be back
- Read the profiles of the people you are eating with
- Leave whenever you want, for any reason or none
You are solely responsible for your own safety and your own conduct when you meet other users. To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for what other users do, whether on Dineadda or in person.
6. Content and behaviour — zero tolerance
There is no tolerance on Dineadda for objectionable content or abusive behaviour.
By using Dineadda you agree not to post, send, or share anything that:
- Harasses, bullies, threatens, stalks, or intimidates anybody
- Is hateful towards, or discriminates against, any person or group — including on the basis of race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, caste, sex, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability, age, or medical condition
- Is sexually explicit, pornographic, or sexually suggestive
- Depicts or encourages violence, self-harm, or cruelty
- Sexualises or otherwise involves minors in any way
- Is illegal, or encourages anybody to break the law
- Impersonates another person, or misrepresents who you are
- Is spam, advertising, a scam, or an attempt to obtain money from other users
- Infringes anybody's copyright, trademark, or other rights
- Shares another person's private information without their permission
You also agree not to:
- Use Dineadda to solicit sex or commercial services of any kind
- Use another person's account, or let anybody use yours
- Attempt to break, overload, scrape, or reverse-engineer the service
- Create an account after we have removed you
We remove objectionable content and eject abusive users. Reports are read. Accounts that break these rules may be suspended or removed without notice and without refund. We do not owe anybody an explanation, though we will usually give one.
7. Reporting and blocking
If somebody makes you uncomfortable, you can report them from their profile. Reports are read by a person. Nothing about your report reaches the person you reported — not that you filed one, and not what it says.
We aim to act on reports of objectionable content or abusive behaviour within 24 hours, by removing the content, removing the user, or both.
If you are in immediate danger, contact your local emergency number first.
8. What you write
You keep ownership of what you post — your photographs, your messages, your reviews.
You give us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, store, display, and distribute that content, for the sole purpose of running Dineadda. That licence ends when you delete the content or your account, except where we must keep something for safety or because the law requires it.
Reviews. A review is your account of one evening. Write honestly. Reviews are not edited after they are written, because they record what you thought that night. Anonymous reviews hide your name from the person you wrote about — they do not hide it from us, and we will look if a review is reported.
Reports. What you write in a report stays with us, and may be kept after your account is deleted. It is your word, and safety is why we hold it.
9. Ending it
You can delete your account at any time, from Settings inside the app. It is final: nothing is kept that could be signed back into.
We can suspend or close your account if you break these terms, if we believe you are a risk to other users, or if we have to for legal reasons.
We can also stop offering Dineadda, in whole or in part, at any time.
10. Disclaimers
Dineadda is provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent permitted by law, we make no warranties of any kind — express or implied — about the service, including that it will be uninterrupted, secure, error-free, or that anything on it is accurate.
We do not warrant the conduct, identity, or suitability of any user.
11. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, data, goodwill, or opportunity, arising from your use of Dineadda.
Our total liability to you for any claim relating to Dineadda will not exceed [AMOUNT — e.g. the greater of INR 5,000 or what you paid us in the past 12 months].
Nothing here excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded — including for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraud.
12. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify us against claims arising from your use of Dineadda, your content, your conduct towards other users, or your breach of these terms.
13. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. Where a change is significant we will tell you in the app before it takes effect. Continuing to use Dineadda after that means you accept the change.
14. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of India, and disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Virudhunagar, Tamil Nadu.
15. Apple
Dineadda is distributed through the App Store. Apple is not a party to these terms and has no responsibility for Dineadda. Apple is not responsible for addressing any claim you have relating to Dineadda, and Apple has no obligation to furnish maintenance or support for it.
Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms, and may enforce them against you.
